Update version 2.1.0: It's now possible to specify a port on which the stream is available. By default the port is set to 8889 (not 8888 anymore). This is because when installing on e.g. Raspbian, the port 8888 can be already used.
When running the machinery it's possible to view a livestream on the web interface. However it's also possible to open the same stream with a client program like: VLC, IP Camera Viewer, or any other client program.
How to open the stream?
The machinery will start a MJPEG stream on 8889, when the capture device is created succesfully. You can open the stream by browsing to your IP-address followed by the port number; e.g. http://192.168.0.11:8889.
